Val Vista Academy recently celebrated School Safety Day, a special event all about keeping our students safe and prepared. The day was filled with fun, learning, and hands-on activities that helped everyone understand how to respond in an emergency.
Students practiced important safety drills in a calm and supportive way, making sure everyone knows what to do in case of a fire, lockdown, or other emergency. They also took part in discussions about making safe choices at school and in the community.
A highlight of the day was welcoming our local heroes—police officers, firefighters, and paramedics—who joined us to share their expertise. Students had the chance to see the equipment they use, ask questions, and learn how first responders keep people safe every day.
School Safety Day was not just about drills—it was about building confidence, teamwork, and community. Together, we are making sure our school is a safe and supportive place where every child can learn and thrive.
